This trail takes you through the open terrain of Fyledalen. You will pass by springs including the Vitabäck source. Movement in the earth’s crust has caused ancient layers of sand, coal, and clay to lie close to the surface. The steep slopes and the valley's flat bottom were excavated by melt water from the ice sheet. In Eriksdal there are quarries full of quartz. Here they found coal, fossils of leaves, cones and nuts from Ginko trees. Continue along the edge of the Snogeholm Sea to the mighty Eternity trees. The oak trees are particularly chosen to provide space for endangered species of beetles and bats, such as echoes and bat.
