Description

Despite its proximity to "civilization", Gustavsbergsleden gives a feeling of the wilderness. Gustavsbergsleden offers several different types of landscape. The hiking/cycling trail starts at Bromölla's library and from there follows the red markings in a northerly direction. The route takes you between Lake Ivö and Lake Levra and then out into the woodlands. Along the trail, you will discover several beautiful areas where you can sit and enjoy the lake. Visitors can also rest at Barnakälla Youth Hostel before climbing Ryssberget. The boarding house Gustavsberg once sat on the top of Ryssberget at the end of the 19th century. Today its ruins remain. The trail continues down from Ryssberget and after a few kilometres arrives at the nature area Brantahallar. Park your bicycle and take a walk into the unique and natural grazing environment which offers rare and unusual flora and fauna.
