This is a beautiful trail traversing the mountains of northern Spain. It starts in Urdón and goes west to the town of Tresviso. There are some lengthy sections of switchbacks, so this is not a casual stroll. After reaching Tresviso, you can either turn around and come back the way you came, or get a ride back to Urdón. This route can be very hot in the summer so be sure to bring enough water. It can also get crowded during high tourist months. The town of Tresviso can get a surprising amount of snow in the winter. The path is generally wide and safe. There are a few parking spots at the trailhead so come early!

Did this trail a couple of times starting at the Tresviso end. There is a long section over loose stones “scree” which is not easy to negotiate, a walking stick or two would help a lot. The views are spectacular; but can be limited by low cloud. No facilities along the way, nor at the bottom; need to walk a further two km to Hermida for cafes and so on.
