This is a popular beautiful hike in the mountains on northern Spain. Most hikers do the opposite of this route, starting in Urdón and going towards Tresviso. But you can go this route as well, starting in Tresviso and turning around at Urdón. There are some lengthy sections of switchbacks, so this is not a casual stroll. After reaching Urdón, you can either turn around and come back the way you came, or get a ride back to Tresviso. This route can be very hot in the summer so be sure to bring enough water. It can also get crowded during high tourist months. The town of Tresviso can get a surprising amount of snow in the winter. The path is generally wide and safe. There are a few parking spots at the trailhead so come early!
