This route is part of a multi day long ride, (mountain bike with saddlebags) taking Granada as a starting point, it goes around the main peaks of the Sierra Nevada National Park, in the Granada area. The Transnevada is a circular well signposted Mountain bike route, a web of doubletrack, single track, footpaths and gravel. It borders the Sierra Nevada National Park, along its ~450 km. It is accessible year-round and although, it is most used by mountain bikers (bikepackers), it can also be traveled by on foot. From Granada capital, it crosses the northern slope of the Sierra Nevada, passing by Jérez del Marquesado, then it crosses to the southern slope by the Puerto de la Ragua. Already by the Alpujarra, you will arrive at Lanjarón after passing through Trevélez, Pórtugos and Capileira. After touring the Rinconada de Nigüelas, you arrive in Granada by Gójar and La Zubia.
