La Concha is 1.215 meters and the highest peak of Sierra Blanca. La Concha, Bermeja, Alpujata, Palmitera, Canucha and Mijas mountain ranges form the coastal mountain ranges of the west part of the province of Malaga. The views are impressive, spanning from the surrounding mountain range to Gibraltar and even the coast of Africa on clear days. You can access the trail through Juanar, featuring a forest of fern covered pines. The route goes through the mountains which are composed of white and blue marbles. You will also find Pinus pines, chestnut trees, olive groves, Spanish oaks, and holm oaks as well as jaguarzos, rosemary, junipers, and palm hearts.

Great hike. The first part is relatively easy but the end offers quite some challenge. Dont underestimate this part. Being fit, good equipment, and enough water is a must. The great view over the coast from the bench at the the top of La Concha is a nice reward. The biggest con is the lack of clear signs and not a clear path the last few hundred metres. But with the map in this app and gps, it is doable.
