This trail runs up the north face of the mountain range, taking you from the Funte del Acebuche ascending through the Cañada de los Tajos and the Puerto de las Encinas until you reach the Pico de Mijas (1150 m.). On the climb you will have beautiful panoramic views of the Bay of Malaga. From the summit you will be able to see the entire coast, nearby mountains, and the Gudalhorce valley. The mountain range is composed of various marbles. Between the fissures in the marble, vegetation springs up. You can find pines, old holm oak, acebuches, junipers, palmitos, mastic, rock roses, rosemary, torviscos and wildflowers.
