A straight-up hike up Platteklip Gorge - past Fountain Peak, take the cable car (125 rand) to the top and back, then head back down to the trailhead.

Hike this one in the spring and you'll be rewarded with streams and wildflowers. The views at the top are incredible.

For those with poor athletics conditioning it would be very hard. The path is very uneven recommend to use a tracking shoes instead of a running one. Take at least 1 l of water per person.
The view is amazing!

I believe there were several routes to the top...we took the most direct. Was basically an hour and 1/2 scramble. Really an awesome little hike.
