The hike starts from the most southern residential area of Camps Bay, heads up one of the gullies between the 12 Apostles. Once on top of Table Mountain, use a myriad of trails to pass some huts used by the South Africa Scouts (there's a public hut as well that looks like it would be a great place for a picnic). You'll pass above the reservoirs and head through Echo Valley towards the upper cable station. The cable car costs 125 rand. There is a cafe and shops at the top, which is a great place for a sandwich and a beer. Come back down the cable car and head back. Lots of streams, birds, and steps.

Very steep. Took us 1h45, no breaks, running every time we could. For people in shape. More hiking than cross country running.

This was an amazing hike. I did it with an expert guide and a group that included 4 others. I only just started hiking and this was my first over 300m elevation hike - so it was very challenging but worth it. It is a steep climb in certain parts but the views are well worth it. The fauna and flora are spectacular. I would definitely suggest doing it with a guide and a group. Take plenty of water and snacks. Rest. And take in the view.

It tomorrow k is nearly four hours, but it is breathtaking and we managed tobdobit. I am 63 and reasonably fit. Some crossing are easily missed, so download the map and keep a look. Cable down is 180 now but we'll worth the money by the time you finish! First time I used this app. It worked great bit battery went down faster than usual. Carry a spare charger.

Note: our hike was a late winter (Aug) hike with perfect cool sunny weather. This is one of the most beautiful hikes I've done and definitely worth choosing this route over some of the others if you have the time. I recommend leaving early, packing lunch, and taking the Cable cars down if you are a slower hiker or want to preserve your knees. Start at the Theresa Rd parking area and proceed as most have stated (Jeep trail, pipe track to Kasteelspoort to cable cars by way of valley of a few valleys and signs leading to plattelklip gorge trail). Definitely use this app or a person who knows the trail, there are a couple spots where you may loose the trail or end up on the diagonal trail (which is a steep downhill). Carry plenty of water or a Sawyer for the creek about 1/3 way in. if you have time route by the reservoirs and stop to see all the amazing vistas, fynbos, and flowers. Don't rush through those incredible views! There are 3 ladders, a few very easy scrambles, and no real exposures. The distance from the Flat rock or end of Kasteelspoort to the Cable cars is much longer than you think and involves a lot of ups and downs. Aka the top of table mountain, is not that flat. Lol. I heard it could take less than an hour, but that would be a slow run or something. I had a less in-shape friend with me, it took almost double the time for her due to needing breaks. I say this bc I found some sites saying this was easy for all fitness levels and that is true, but a 3-4 hour hike becomes closer to 6-7 hours. I am a pretty fit person, but live in FL so mountain hikes are a luxury, that being said, at a slow pace, it's not a difficult hike, but it is longer than some of the others. In my opinion, the vistas are worth the time. You pass a few people on the trail, mostly local trail runners. Once you get to table mountain, the city bowl is amazing, but there are lots of people. So this trail let's you appreciate that quiet solitude on trail. Sorry for the long review, just hope it helps.

A trilha demanda fisicamente.

One of the more trafficked paths up Table Mtn for good reason: well-marked, well-maintained, gorgeous views, and moderately challenging. No shade. Can also be reached from the Pipe Track that starts from corner of Tafelberg Rd & Kloof Nek. Often used as a descent path for those who come up more technical and challenging routes.

Awesome hike. I would rate this hike moderate difficulty, but we definitely got a good workout, plus the view is amazing. Bring extra socks. My feet got wet during stream crossings, and it was cold at the upper cableway in December. The trail is well marked but my off-line map helped.

Wonderful trail up from Camp’s Bay along the face of the Apostles, up through a gorge with a waterfall on your right, up and over the top of 12 apostles, then up and down echo valley and finally the ascent to table mountain. Well marked, easy to use with all trails app. We did it with two middle aged hikers and one younger hiker and it took exactly four hours with a few stops. A little wet at points so wear good shoes and use hands on the steeps when wet. Lovely vistas and changing flora all the way up. While many steep parts, these are nicely intermixed with flats to regain your balance. Very sunny so would not recommend in summer heat. Parked at trailhead at top of residential street in Camps bay and seemed very safe. Would not recommend going down the trail unless fit and experienced with declines. We took the cable car after our enjoyable ascent

Beautiful route. The climbing makes it tough, but it’s worth it for the views/nature.

This hike was hard but so much worth it. Had to do scrabbling lots of times and some areas were expose but the views made it all worth it. Had 2 ladders to climb up to get all the way to the cable cars but were ok for me since not as expose. Also had the trail for myself most of the way since only saw 5 hikers and 3 rangers the 5 hrs I was in the trial. Need to know your way around because most part not identify and can get confusing in the section where it is all rock climbing, so go with a guide ( I did) if not familiarize with it. The guide can also take your pics!!

Awesome trail! Beware...if you follow this route turn by turn, there is a ton of rock climbing up some slippery paths. Be sure to wear waterproof shoes, as there are some soggy spots. We took the cable car down the other side. Overall pretty demanding trail but the views are worth it!

Take the time to hike along the reservoirs as well !
