The hike starts from the most southern residential area of Camps Bay, heads up one of the gullies between the 12 Apostles. Once on top of Table Mountain, use a myriad of trails to pass some huts used by the South Africa Scouts (there's a public hut as well that looks like it would be a great place for a picnic). You'll pass above the reservoirs and head through Echo Valley towards the upper cable station. The cable car costs 125 rand. There is a cafe and shops at the top, which is a great place for a sandwich and a beer. Come back down the cable car and head back. Lots of streams, birds, and steps.

This hike was hard but so much worth it. Had to do scrabbling lots of times and some areas were expose but the views made it all worth it. Had 2 ladders to climb up to get all the way to the cable cars but were ok for me since not as expose. Also had the trail for myself most of the way since only saw 5 hikers and 3 rangers the 5 hrs I was in the trial. Need to know your way around because most part not identify and can get confusing in the section where it is all rock climbing, so go with a guide ( I did) if not familiarize with it. The guide can also take your pics!!

Awesome trail! Beware...if you follow this route turn by turn, there is a ton of rock climbing up some slippery paths. Be sure to wear waterproof shoes, as there are some soggy spots. We took the cable car down the other side. Overall pretty demanding trail but the views are worth it!
