HikingGreat!

One of the toughest routes, and for me this is possibly the greatest route around Gauteng. If you want to see a video of the route check out my Youtube channel: Garnett Snyman.

Quite challenging and steep at some points. Nature at its best with a lot of shadows to cool one off as you hit those rocks going up.

We did the 5km hike with our 3 children age 9, 6 and 4. They all managed well. There are many loose rocks and lots of climbing. Scenery was amazing with white backed vultures and baboons barking.

Most challenging trail i have ever done. Literally hanging onto a cliff edge at the Brave Mountain point. Hella technical... we thought of taking the chicken express. But braved through. Literally the hardest physical activity i have ever done. Do the 13 kms guys

it is rough. however, great hike. first 2kms is an elevation like no other. instant but the views are worth it. try get there early to avoid traffic and the sun. pack at least 5l of water per person. hiking sticks and shoes are necessary, especially for the decent

Best hike in Gauteng!! The ever changing terrain keeps it interesting. Loved the vertical climb. Requires above average fitness levels to really enjoy it otherwise it'll be a pain. Section of the descent was a bit slippery but added to the excitement. Needs focus! Went during the week, less people, more views. Will go back again. Oh, and staff is super friendly and only a call away if you need help.

Nice challenging hike. Rated “moderate” but had parts that were not moderate all! Some exciting bits, with a little exposure. On top of the mountain it felt quite remote, although not far from civilization. Only saw one other hiking party on the 13km trail.

Thi is nice technical trail. Your mind must be ready for it. Ontop of the mountain make sure you watch out for markings because you can easily get lost.

The terrain is very technical and there were a couple of very challenging segments on the course which were exciting! When you are at the top of the mountain, DON’T FOLLOW THE GREEN DOTS. Stick to the green boards. The green dots are part of another trail crossing Rustig’s route. PLEASE PEOPLE: Don’t leave your plastic bottles, chips packets, TISSUES & WET WIPES in nature. Dispose of it when you are back at camp. KEEP OUR TRAILS UNSPOILED.xxx
