Good and well marked trail. Mix of shade and sun with nice ups and downs. Kid friendly and restaurant on site. Great to look out for the animals. Saw a tortoise, ostrich, zebra, impala and springbok.

HikingGreat!

It's a popular trail that is central and easily accessible in the Pretoria East region They are covid compliant therefore adherering to strict covid protocols,so be prepared to wait. It's definitely worthwhile waiting to see the beauty of nature all it has to offer It's a flat to moderate loop trail so can easily be for beginners to intermediate level. Most of the trail is alongside the river under the beautiful Canopy of the trees giving that cooling effect. It definitely makes for a refreshing cooler walk and whilst taking in and enjoying the surroundings Perfect for very hot days. Extremely picturesque with a wide variety of game and birds. Animals seen on the trail namely zebras springbok, impala and blesbok.

Amazing. Did 1.5 of the loop and went again to go and climb the stairs. Awesome workout! Trekking poles help a lot especially where it is slippery from the rain

My wife and I are beginner photographers and we arrived here this Sunday, pleasantly surprised to find there was no entry fee. As normal practice that i always follow at any place i visit when i want to take some photographs i always ask if i may take some photos and also ask if i may use my drone here. on using of the drone i completely respect the answer "no" and with that i have no quarrel, however when asking if i may use my camera to practice my photography and then be told that sure entry is free but i must pay R130PP for taking photographs is absolutely f@#$ing insane! for what, tell me what is the f#$%ing difference between enjoying taking a hike and taking some pictures. YOU SUCK AND I HOPE YOU GET CLOSED DOWN!!!

No entry fee. Arrived mid morning. We chose to do Suikerbos route. Carried on to do Rademeyer's route too. Sat in the bird hide for a while. It's easy to moderate, well maintained, easy to follow. We saw tortoises, zebra, springbok, ostrich, blesbok, impala and some buck we've never seen. Birds: Observed a hamerkop, heard a Piet-my-vrou. Insects:a red-roman and a [tiny] praying mantis. Staff at the gate were friendly. Remember to take water with on the hike. Quite a lot of walk is in shade.

There are 2 loops-Suikerbos and Duiker. Suikerbos should be done while it’s still light out and when u have time. Duiker is a light and short loop. Both beautiful because of the animals.
