I would recommend this trail to novice hill walkers. it's well planned out with steps in place at some of the steeper parts. I completed the walk with a baby in a carrier on a warm sunny day and it was very doable and the views are so beautiful! it's a fast hike so I'd recommend light gear and wind proof gear. we then had a delicious meal the restaurant at the bottom of the hill after completing the walk, very pleasant day with family.

Great walk for all ages. Steps pretty much the way to the top, followed by a short scramble to the summit. The views are to die for up here, with a complete 360 view of beautiful rolling hills and of course, Loch Lomond and the islands.

Walked this with my 4yr old in March. It was a wet and windy day which made it boggy under foot but nothing to really worry about as the path it good. A small scramble to the summit which was fun with my boy. Good walk for beginners and some great views from the top.

Bit icy along the path yesterday but views and weather were spectacular. Walk itself is full of big steps at the start but then eases to a normal hill walk. Definitely take your camera, definitely go to the wee coffee shop across from the car park.
