This route is easy to follow and has planned out steps that lead to outstanding views of Loch Lomand. Can be enjoyed with the family, but there are steep parts and a small scramble near the top. Can be muddy, slippery, and sometimes icy, so wear appropriate footwear and come prepared.

Did this route in 'reverse' order not climbing steps initially but following the lake first. This is definatelly challenging hike (even for fit person) and you really need some proper shoes to tackle mud. Views are amazing on top and well worth hard work going up and more attractive than just going up and down the most popular route. Climbed with a three year old but it may not be for everyone as younger one will definatelly require some help.

Top tip - don’t start the walk at the back of the car park go the other way around past the loch and the wharf. You’ll miss all the steps going up and it’s much nicer going up through the forest. No social distancing.

Completed this as part of a West Highland Way trip. Weather wasn't great at the top, but the views of the Loch on the way down are sensational

Excellent trail with great views of Loch Lomond. The looping section is not obvious.

5 stars for the views! Absolutely amazing viewpoints over Loch Lomond. Downsides are that there is a parade of people going up. And going down is the same path.

Good walk with amazing views pretty much all the way up. The beginning is the hardest part with all the steps! The peak can be very busy which isn't good for social distancing... but there is another slightly smaller peak off to the right which gives great views too.

Magic. Great views to be seen from only about 1/3 of the way up. Good scramble to the top if you dont take the path.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this walk. Easy path to follow. You had to scramble at some parts, nice walk along the beach to finish. Definitely recommend.

First time - Climbed it on Friday , absolutely miserable soaked to the bone with hardly any vision, worth it though . Went back up yesterday morning sun was splitting the skies , the views are something else didn’t want to come down . Love it

It was so nice to get to the top and have a picnic! Very enjoyable and breezy of a walk. The sheeps and lambs are so cute too.

Hiked this March 16, 2020. Easy hike. We spent 20 minutes at the top and saw only 2 other groups hiking it. Took us about 90 minutes round trip with a few short stops on the way up. Beautiful view at the top. It had rained all day and night before we went but we got there around 11 am and there were maybe two muddy spots but we easily got around then. Great experience. Wish COVID wouldn’t have shut down our trip a day later.

One of my favorite hikes in the world. Amazing view of Lomond. May see some cows or sheep (so if your dog may be interested in those, a lead is recommended). Very windy at the top. The lower landing can get muddy.

Absolutely remarkable hike. If you stay on the heavily travelled path it is easy, going off on the lighter travelled path is harder but certainly worth it!
