This route is easy to follow and has planned out steps that lead to outstanding views of Loch Lomand. Can be enjoyed with the family, but there are steep parts and a small scramble near the top. Can be muddy, slippery, and sometimes icy, so wear appropriate footwear and come prepared.

One of my favorite hikes in the world. Amazing view of Lomond. May see some cows or sheep (so if your dog may be interested in those, a lead is recommended). Very windy at the top. The lower landing can get muddy.

Absolutely remarkable hike. If you stay on the heavily travelled path it is easy, going off on the lighter travelled path is harder but certainly worth it!

We did this trail with our 10 month-old in a backpack carrier. It's definitely doable, but leave yourself more time and pack plenty of baby-friendly bug repellent because midges apparently love babies. :( Give yourself plenty of breaks and enjoy the views of Loch Lomand.

Sadly, i picked a day when the wind & rain was coming sideways. Getting to the summit, myself & a few others were unsure if we actually at the top due to minimal visibility. Probably a wasted climb due to not getting the views from the top, but definetily re-climb sometime soon. Nearing the summit can be a little bit of a scramble & slippy underfoot in the rain.

I have did this hill many times, once as a kid then as a father of 2 girls. looking forward to doing this again with my grandson. It's a great workout for your legs, carry light. Remember you're water.

Beautiful trail. Knees need to be in solid condition. Views are worth it.

This was a beautiful walk. I'm a total novice climber and overweight. I found this quite steep at parts and a short scramble at the top. There's a ledge half way up if you don't want to all the way. Views still great. Although most of the walk is 'stepped' they have worn away in parts so you need to make do. Walking sticks advised for coming back down if you're like me and get jelly legs decending. Awesome ice cream at the bottom.
