Great trail up to the summit of Ben vorlich, stuc a Chroin proved much more of a challenge with a steep scramble to the top. Not for the faint hearted or In experienced climbers, however there is a safer route to access the summit (see guides).

I loved this hike! I am a beginner so I did find it quite challenging but definitely doable. On a cloudy day there are multiple false summits, which was a slight tease. It gets more steep towards the top but that makes it all the more fun. The views from the summit are well worth the climb!

Highly recommend climb. Ben Vorlich has a clear, easy path to follow. Towards the top can get a little tougher. On to the second summit, stùc A’Chroin, which proved a little more challenging. To the right an easy navigable path but be ready for the challenge, towards the top you need to scramble a little. However, once you’ve reached the summit you’re rewarded with the most amazing views. I came back down Stùc A’Chroin the same way I went up then headed round Ben Vorlich, such a bad idea. Wet and extremely muddy eroded path, boots kept getting stuck and almost fell a dozen times. I did survive unscathed and highly recommend the Munro’s, just not my route.

On return from Stuc a'Chroin it might be advisable to go back over Ben Vorlich, as the lower path is very muddy and eroded.

We had a great morning hike of over 3 hrs going up making the round on top and coning back. Lovely to take a swim afterwards in the lake. Good views and scenery well marked path easy to follow

Ben Vorlich by far the easier of the two. Stuc A’Chroin definitely worth the extra effort. Fun scramble at the top.

Ben Vorlich a relatively straightforward path. Stuc a chroin requires some climbing and the descent is steep no matter joe you do it.
