HikingGreat!

Tough walk from the start but so worth it this was my first one I’d done and I’d definitely do it again, coming down was bit tricky but as long as you take your time it’s fine.

Ben A'an is definitely a tough one from the start. Stairs and bigs steps the whole way up. You do get a 10/15 minute flat walk but that just sets up up for the hardest bit. We go up in 1hr 25 and down in 35mins. Views are absolutely stunning at the top

This is a great trail, steep steps all the way but worth it for the view.

Its quite steep from the get go with only a few flats, one for a slightly fitter walker. I got there at 9am on Friday and the car park was dead and so was the walk. Coming back down an hour later, the path was getting busy again. Do yourself a favour and do this walk early morning, the summit is too small to handle millions of Instagrammers. Amazing views considering the elevation and up/down in under two hours with plenty of time taking pictures at the top.

Great walk up, great views. Parking is a nightmare and pack some midge repellent, you may need it. I did and I forgot mine!

Very short walk up and down but the scenery and views are well worth it. Challenging on the calfs going up the steps but otherwise very straight forward and an easy walk. Very popular walk passing crowds of people. If you want a peaceful walk then try off peak times. I was there at lunch time and it was far too busy for my liking. Parking, good luck ha but if you keep driving down the road approx a mile away then there are parking bays. Or just keep circling until someone leaves and you find a space.

Would put it as tougher than a moderate hike. Steep steps on the second half. Can also get pretty crowded in good weather.

The views are beautiful and definitely worth the climb. car parking quite difficult in the ben A'an car park. although after some patience i got parked. The steep climb at start might put some people off. my advice get by that part it evens out parts of the trail and its an adventurous climb with rewarding panoramic views i completed this with my Pal and 8 month old dogg gypsy.

Completed this climb with my wife and 3 kids (10, 7 and 6 years old). We found that it was a challenging hike in parts but thoroughly enjoyed it and were rewarded by the amazing views; the view from the peak is stunning. We found this hike more challenging than Tinto by comparison. parking was difficult and required patience - we parked at Ben Venue car park and walked round. Enjoy

Trail is like stairs most of the way so great workout. Views at the top were spectacular. Very busy! Get there early for parking. (Police were making sure people wouldn’t park on the road)

Climb this just over a week ago , found the first part the hardest straight out the car park felt it got easier as it went on . Wad raining and visibility at top wasn’t the greatest but still managed to see a bit . Hopefully get back in a clear day .

Fabulous morning hike. Sumitted in an hour 15mins despite my 8yr old niece crying for the first 500m. Had gnats for the first 500m while climbing a staircase but soon disappeared. After that there is a nice flat section which leads to the half way mark. Then again climbing a well marked staircase to the top. Views are lovely. Even on an overcast day. Was busy but not overcrowded. Lots of dogs and children’s taking part. 2km to the top from the car park.

I'd never herd about this place till my friend took me, And I'm glad she did, even the drive up is breathtakingly beautiful. The path to the top is made up of big boulders, so it's like climbing the stairs and it does get steep, so much so I was ready for throwing in the towel near the top, but fight through it because the view is unbelievable, the place is a photographer's dream.
