Just climbed Ben Aan for first time. My third Ben after Chabhair and Lomond. Not as challenging or as long as the others but the two steep staircase sections shouldn't be underestimated. Views at the top best both the others. Stunning

400 m of elevation over a little more than 2 kms but what a foot when arriving. The view is amazing. It took us about 1:30 to get on and off. If you stay in Edinburgh on a short break this is the perfect destination for not doing too many kms.

As a visitor to Scotland I truly enjoy the peaks! My husband and I hiked to the top of Ben Nevis in 2017 failed to record it here, but everything is compared to that day! This was a beautiful trail. Be prepared for stairs. Definitely steep to the top, seemed to be straight up!! Views were absolutely stunning. Felt all four seasons in the way up with wind and sleet at the top. Ah, Scotland, ya beauty! Nice short trail, so very worth it!

this is quite an easy walk. the beginning is a bit steep however i done it with a 5 year old and he managed it no problem. It took us 1 hour 45 mins to get up and down and that was us having a picnic at the top. Great views on a nice day.

Lovely views at top, for a short climb it’s still challenging.

Great trail for those without much experience, but just taxing enough. Took just a couple of hours up and down but with a very rewarding panoramic view at the top. Saw plenty of kids doing the trail which shows how accessible it is!

Climbing to the summit with my 4yr old a few weeks back, was a great day and a really good path leading you to the summit. It’s a great Ben to start with and my boy managed no problem up the way, down the way he started to lose steam. Steep at the stars and about half way though but a great Ben! One of my favourites for a quick walk up and down. The views are great from the summit!

Great hike that starts at Loch Achray parking lot. £3 for all day parking (there are other hikes in the area too) and you have to pay with coins. Be warned: this is over 1100 ft elevation gain in just a mile. So it is STEEP. Pretty significant grades but the trail is in great condition and easy to follow and summit. We experienced rain and sun during the short hike with wildly changing temperatures as well due to wind. Took is 31 minutes to summit and we spent 30 minutes at the top, 27 coming down. Lots of people in various fitness levels and small children and dogs. Garmin Recording: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/3096778698
