Visited as a day trip from Edinburgh. Took train to pitlochry and walked to trailhead. Trail was wet but in good shape. Steady climbing up to the loch where it became quite steep. Trail was well maintained. Dynamic ecology over the ascent. Not extensive wildlife, but nice flowers and plants at the base. Well trafficked trail but never felt crowded. Must bring gear for rain and good footwear, ideally with poles as the trail was wet (and slick at points near the summit). Would recommend if in the area,’or if you’re looking for a day trip form Edinburgh (train from wAverly to pitlochry then either walk a mile to trailhead or taxi for ~5 pounds)

Diversified! In spite of the strenuous climb ingenious and worthwhile! From the lake begins the hard part of the tour! It is important to take the same way on the descent as in the ascent!

Mild climb up to Loch a Choire, but quite steep to the top.
