Rocky pinnacles, exposed traverses, steep cliff faces and raw, otherworldly landscapes. If you choose one hike in Isle of Skye, this is the one. Moderate hike but not too difficult. Just have good shoes and make sure to respect the trail and walk safely.

Completed this hike today and it was unlike anything I’ve ever seen despite the dense fog. I will echo other hikers and say you should complete this going counter clockwise. We completed the whole loop today and the last/back half is pretty unenjoyable. The trail is totally washed out and virtually unidentifiable. We had to spend most our time looking at the AllTrails app to make sure we were going the right way instead of enjoying the scenery. It was also a LOT more muddy and slippery with a lot of loose rocks and scree So while the hike is stunning and breathtaking, I think it’s only necessary to complete the first half and then turn around. PS you do have to pay to park at the trailhead and they have a kiosk that takes cards. Also treat yourself to a hot chocolate from the snack cart that parks at the trailhead (The Tea Pot) - it’s delicious!

Gorgeous hike. Not too strenuous but SUPER muddy. You really must have waterproof shoes. I would recommend going clockwise... the first main slope is totally washed out and muddy -much easier to go up rather than down.

Honestly should be rated as hard if you actually do the whole circuit. We went counter clockwise. The mud was significant. Don’t go unless you have water proof boots that you can submerge 4” without getting wet. Going up to the table and coming down LOTS of mud and easy to lose the/a trail. On top of the table very exposed to the elements. We did it in the rain and hail still worth all the misery absolutely jaw dropping views

High winds capable of knocking a person down so be careful when walking near ledges. Absolutely stunning views of the sea and rolling green hills but bring a rain jacket and water proof boots during the wet season!

This is a fantastic hike. the trail was very muddy see to recent rain but we had great weather. The trail is a little hard to find at times.

It is a great trail to hike. Starting with the lower route it has breathtaking views and is an easy walk. If you choose to do the whole circle it is much faster going back on the top side. Unfortunately we found a lot of mud. It is highly recommended to have water proof footwear. And if you are not sure footed a set of poles would be nice

It’s been over a year since I’ve been able to go on a hike and I’ve put on some weight. That being said, this was an easy hike except for the large ascent and descent which were extremely boggy and had slipping all over and getting nasty. The views and atmosphere are amazing though.

Excellent hike with incredible views. We were lucky to not have rain in our morning hike, but even with that the trail was quite muddy especially on the second half. Unfortunately, the trail was not clearly marked after the turnaround of the loop and the muddy conditions made for a challenge to complete the loop. I am pumped that we chose this hike and that we were able to complete it!

Amazing views, we lucked out with the weather. Take the detour and go up to the headland, views are stunningly beautiful. Trail can be steep at times and muddy but it is totally worth doing the entire loop.
