we only went from abriachan to dumnadrochit but this was just a straight-forward, easy to follow route with some lovely inclines and a beautiful woodland portion too!

we started in Inverness and mad our way to for Augustus around 70 km. some really tough inclines and declines, but absolutely worth it for the views and wild camping spots!

Beautiful views and surrounding. Take the high route on day 3, 4 and 5. These take more miles, but are worth it.

Did this on our tandem, flat at the start with some hills close to lock locky.

During my visit years ago, I took the A82 down the length of the Caledonian Canal from Inverness to Fort William, making multiple stops along the various lochs…including famous Loch Ness. I also remember exploring the canal and locks that connect Loch Oich and Loch Lochy. It was a nice spot to experience both the beauty of the area, as well as this partially man-made waterway.

Absolutely lovely, but somewhat repetitive. It's basically 100km of walking down country roads with a loch on your left and trees on your right. It's also not very physically taxing, which can be a good or bad thing, depending on your tastes. I walked it and the West Highland Way and have more words (and pictures) at http://vagabondvivant.com/gallivants/walk-scotland/
