This includes much pathless scrambling to get to the top of nearby Sgurr nan Gobhar which is very steep in places. While views from the top of this 630 meter peak are worth the effort, the feelings of relief and accomplishment are tempered by the sight of the craggy ridge leading to the cloud-shrouded destination. Along the way there was a cairn and distinguishable path but you are eventually met with more vertical features ultimately causing you to abandon the ascent and follow the more traveled path on your return.
