Magical pools and waterfalls around every corner. Come with an adventurous spirit and explore the variety of things to see. Expect crowds, as this is a popular hike. The trail isn’t heavily marked but you’ll know where it is due it’s heavy use. There will be some stones you have to jump across to get into the main sections. You can swim in the pools, but they are cold. There is a parking fee of two pounds.

Lovely easy and short trail. Very busy because it’s very touristy. I did this hike both in the winter as well as the summer. I like it more in winter because there’s nobody out there.

It was ok, a little overrated but very scenic. An alright walk.

This is a charming hike! The trail itself is easy and well-traveled, but there are multiple creek crossings. The first one requires navigating the stream rocks yourself- expect to get your feet dipped in a little water. The second has large, flat stepping stones, so no contact with water required. The further up the trail you go, the muddier it gets, and some spots will submerge your feet 1-2 inches in mud/marsh. There is no shade cover so sunscreen is a must. This is a shared trail with a long loop that goes up to Sgurr nan Fheadain, so don't be fooled when the pools end and the trail keeps going. The ending of the fairy pools part of the trail is poorly marked. There used to be a sign, but as of March 13, 2020 the sign itself was gone and only the post remains. myself and many hikers walked another 1.5 miles along the trail, looking for the trail end sign. This is nice for those who want more of a walk though. parking is £5, cash only.

Bit challenging, but so worth it. Went in August and it was beautiful. The drive in was a bit interesting if not used to Scottish backcountry roads. Never experienced anything like it in the US.

This place is truly magical. You’re right in the middle of the Black Cuillins and it’s so peaceful if you arrive early in the morning. She. I say early, I mean 8:00 AM if possible. The numbers increase heavily by 11:00 AM. The trail isn’t heavily marked but you’ll know where it is due it’s heavy use. It goes one for quite a while. There will be some stones you have to jump across to get into the main sections. You can swim in the pools, but they’re nice and cold. I went in early June which was the perfect time to visit. Expect bugs (the dreaded midges) in July if it gets warm. Parking will cost you two pounds as a trail fee. Pay the fee. The road to get there is essentially single track in spots so take your time and enjoy the scenery.

Beautiful hike, continue hiking if it rains as most people leave. Head to the end of the trail we were the only ones there for a while and the sun came back out. Get there early as it can get overcrowded with people.

Took alternative route to go around and walk down the pools to avoid crowds. Was well worth it. The mountains are an amazing back drop

Nice flat walk with some rocks. You can get some really great photos here. I would walk all the way to the end where the mountain splits for photos.

Could have been a better hike, had a great time jumping into the Fairy Pools. Weather was typical Scotland. A little sun followed by rain then pelting rain repeat. Best 5 quid spent thus far.

Easy trail along a pretty stream, very wet day and crossing right at the beginning was a little tricky but overall very nice hike!

Heaps of great little waterfalls, track gets super busy if you don't get there early. Track is pretty easy in decent weather.

If you don’t want to swim, it ‘s not even worth 3 stars. But if the weather is nice, you have to go into the water. Walk all the way up to the end en take a dip! It’s worth it!
