The trail is well marked as it climbs up through an ever-green forest. The top is rocky and steep, with interesting stone-work from an ancient hill fort. Great views.

Lovely walk from the carpark. Get steep towards the top but it doesn't take too long.

We went with our 3 and 6 year old and made me very proud that they could walk all the way to the top. Some whining, but overall a fantastic experience.... Highly recommended..

Was always one of my must to do hikes for the region. Will need money for parking Path starts off nice and wide with easy footing. Path does start to climb quite steeply early on in the walk. Me personally, was always happy to stop and let other coming down get past (let me catch my breath without making it too obvious). Views at the top are well worth the climb. We decided to come back down via the Maiden Causeway and Turnpike path to turn the walk into a loop. The descent going this way had easier footing and wasn't as steep. Views along those paths were really nice.

Very nice trail, first lots of trees and wood around you, then up the hill rocky and windy, with beautiful view of the surroundings. Remaining’s of and old fort at the top from the first millennium AD. Worth doing.

Did this trail for the first time last year. Starts off as a nice forest walk. Gradually getting steeper as you go. Once you leave the forest behind the going get a bit harder . Once you hit the top the views are worth it.

Great trail and grand views. On a weekday in September The Bennachie Centre had ample parking and facilities. The trail is well marked as it climbs up through an ever-green forest. The top is rocky and steep, with interesting stone-work from an ancient hill fort. Great views.
