This is an easy walk along the Grandes Cayes beach. If you are in the neighborhood and have time, continue the hike to Baie de Petites Cayes. It's well worth the hike as well.

We started the trail from the west side and parked near an old outdoor basketball court at the corner of a little neighborhood. The trail head isn't marked but you can follow the gravel path to to beginning of the smaller rocky trail. The trail begins pretty easy but hot, as there is no tree cover, plenty of water is a must. About 3/4 of a mile in, there is a natural tidal pool down the hill from the rocky peninsula. Great for swimming! Just watch out for sea urchins. Continuing up the trail requires good hiking shoes. Not only does it become extremely rocky with loose soil, it becomes extremely steep and sheer with 100 ft drops inches from where you step. For about a quarter of a mile, this hike is dangerous and difficult. Other than this point, the trail is fairly easy, and well worth the beautiful views. We were visited by a large herd of wild goats amd dozens of massive iguanas! Only thing keeping it from being 5 stars is the little bit of trash that has washed up on shore from the hurricane, and the damage to Guana Bay beach at the end of the trail to the north preventing it from being swimmable.
