It Is very tricky to follow blindly this trail. At some point we were really in the middle of bushes with no path at all and it continued like this for few kilometers of just getting through the forest. The beginning of the hike is demanding and not so worth it. Better to check the waterfall with a car.

The Trail is beautiful. You can go up to the mountains following the indicators (small rocks). There are few points where you can get fresh water from a source. I wouldn’t recommend to go when it’s raining or very hot.

Take your time at the beginning. It is the best part! So beautiful. But a part of the track is following a fence (on the left side of the fenced off area). This part was shitty and not worth it. There is no way and you go through woods and see nothing special. I had to jump over the fence and take a shortcut through a cow pasture. Try to walk at the right side of the fence and you save time and do not miss anything special. After that it is interesting again and the vegetation decrease. The way down I saw cows. You should definitely not go when it is dark because you will not find the way. Follow the small stone towers to make your way. Also you can enjoy the view Point alone when you go early. The most of the track I met nobody. But after the waterfall the "track" is a road where a lot of tourists are driving by car. I started running to shorten the time I spent on the road. So the last part was the baddest. Anyway the beginning is worth it and that you are probably alone for a while except the tourists sights (waterfall, view points.)

Great trail, beautiful sights. Took us 4.5hours, 13km to complete without rushing. We gathered 400 elevation metres, but I wouldn't call it difficult There are no trail marks, but AllTrails served us well + follow the piles of stone/cairns. We set off near Miradouro da Pedra Bela.
