This small circular route begins and ends in front of the Church of Calheta do Nesquim, a parish with a rich tradition in the history of the Azorean whaling. Here you can visit the house of whalers, transformed into a local museum of high interest. The course is counterclockwise and has two small detours, one for the port of Feiteira and another for the Pedra Aguda, a natural lookout par excellence. We start our walk along the coast, towards Portinho da Feiteira, a small pleasant beach area. After enjoying this magnificent site, follow the signs and start a climb along a narrow canyon until you reach the regional road. There, follow to your right and soon after you turn left continuing to rise, sometimes through pastures or through woods where incense and acacia prevail. After reaching the northern point of the route, head west to Pedra Aguda, the highest altitude of the route that offers a breathtaking view of the parish of Calheta and the entire eastern part of the island. Descending back to Calheta do Nesquim, you will follow paths similar to those already covered previously. Already near the locality, it will enter a path between vineyards and will pass by a lookout of Whale watching towards the sea. In the coastal zone, you will find another bathing area called Baía da Poça. Finally, we follow the Moinho do Mourricão until the Church, the final point of this journey.
