This small linear route begins next to the viewpoint of Terra Alta, located between the Parishes of Ribeirinha and Santo Amaro and ends in the center of Santo Amaro. We begin to descend by a foot path put, through a forest where incense is the predominant species. Along the way we find traces of vineyard corrals and small bridges made of carved stone that show us the importance of this path that was once the main route of connection to Ponta da Ilha. Leaving this forest, we now enter an area of small agricultural fields, increasingly dominated by the typical small-scale viticulture of the island of Pico. In this area, on the left, you will find an abandoned house that once was a small local butter factory that still keeps inside its manufacturing equipment. As we approach the coastal zone, we make a small detour to Baía do Canto, a small leisure area by the sea, surrounded by local wineries. Returning to the main road, we always follow the coast through a tar road towards the center of Santo Amaro. We also pass through Parque del Furada, a picnic area, and in Santo Amaro, the old naval center of the archipelago, you can visit the Maritime Museum of Naval Construction and the School of Crafts.
