This is a beautiful trail - gorgeous views. Gate wasn’t open when I arrived - there is a parking lot outside of gate. Gate was open when I finished, so it opened sometime after 10am. Note: the .2mile that connects the Boca do Inferno trail with the PR4 is thru a cow pasture. Luckily, there were no cows in the pasture - but they had been there so watch out for cow pies! The PR4 trail is partially paved & some SUVs & four-wheelers travel on it. I didn’t have time to do the full loop around (approx 13miles). Also, the clouds starting rolling in around 11:30am.

can you call this an actual hiking trail? when we were there the gate was closed, we parked on the parking on the other side of the road. so we walked the road to the short trail were the viewpoint is. which is amazingly beautifull! go early!

Everybody tries to park next to the road but actually there is a huge parking lot at the toilet sign, about 200 m from the road if you drive through the gate. You can also drive to the view point so it meas it is walking on roads not exactly a walking trail.

Going to give this a 4 Star because it isn’t really a hike, but want to rate it high enough that you do it- the view is awesome

View is spectacular but very weather dependent. Be patient and clouds will eventually break!

Short and quick. You can actually drive and park right at the base of the climb/stairs if you’d like instead of parking across the road and walking in. The view is incredible! Absolute must visit.
