This walk is one of the most beautiful trips you can make on Terceira. Those who suffer from fear of heights may be a bit discomforted here and there, but the path along the coast is generally fairly passable. Although coastal walks in Terceira are very limited due to the rough nature of the coastline, this tour is an exception to the rule. A few parking places are provided. You follow the EN1 for a while but soon you take a gravel road to the left, which you follow until you reach a green valley. You descend the valley where it is a bit scrambling over the rocks. A little further on at the end of this valley the Atlantic Ocean appears. Continue to follow the path that now runs along the coast. After some clambering, return to a gravel path that brings you a little further to the first viewpoint of the day with the name: Miradouro da Alagoa da Fajazinha. You join the path again and you follow the broad gravel road up to the next sharp turn to the left. You leave the gravel road and again choose the hills and you take the path on the right that climbs zigzagging along the rocks. This is also the most beautiful part of the journey. A little further you can deviate from the path to enjoy a fantastic view of the ocean again at an observation post for birdwatchers. Back on the path you will soon arrive at the peak of our walk: the Ponta do Misterio. Be careful of course, because the ocean leans against the rocks rather roughly. The path then rises steadily and leaves the coast to reach the main road again in a zigzagging manner. You cross the main road and take the asphalt road up to the right. After 1.5 km it turns left again into the Terceira fields along a gravel road. Cross a beautiful plateau and a piece of tropical forest to descend a little further along the right side of this forest to the parking area where the car is located.
