A trip along the Algarve coast from Praia da Marinha in the east to Praia de Vale Centeanes. The trail includes a variety of beaches and caves to explore. It can be walked from either direction and includes many signs on posts or painted rocks to guide the way.

Beautiful! It took us a little less than 6 hours back and forth. We left the cellars Algar seco, where I highly recommend the stop! From this starting point our phone gps have recorded between 18 and 22km (longer but very feasible!). Breathtaking landscapes from start to finish on the way back and forth. I would call the trail "easy". Several places to stop / swim and several restaurants available but rather expensive. Happy hike!

We made a leisurely day trip that included stops for lunch and beach time around this trail. Hiked one way, west to east. Started at Praha Centeanes near Carvoeiro around 10:00 am, took our time to enjoy views. Arrived to Praha Benagil around 12 and had lunch at the Casa Lam overlooking the beach and boat launch where a tour boat company operates a cave tour business. Laid on the beach and tested the cool water for about 2 hours, rehydrated at the cafe and then around 5pm headed up the east hill from the beach to continue the trail that we had to seek out around the parking lot at the top of the hill. We made our way back to the coastal trail and were rewarded for our persistence with fantastic views as we neared Praha Marinha with natural arch and many stacks. Spent about an hour at the end of the trail at Praha Marinha until the sun started to dip behind the cliffs to the west. A perfect day in Algarve. The trail is accurately labeled moderate.

We did the trail early’ish, 8:25. We were the 3rd car in the parking lot. It started off great as there were very few people. The views were incredible and we stopped many times as the sun was behind us on the way out. It took us until 11:29 to reach then end. We played on the beach for a bit then headed back. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! It was so busy!!! The trail was a 5 out and a 3 back because of the amount of people. That is why I gave it a 4. I would also rate this as mostly easy to moderate in places. Get on the train early. Take a dip after you are done, it’s cool water this time of year but well worth it!!!

Such a beautiful hike. Stunning views the entire time. On the way back, we went for a swim in the Bengali caves, which were absolutely stunning. As it is December, the water was very cold but it is still worth it. This time of year was perfect for hiking and the trail was not busy at all. I could imagine it being very hot and busy in the summer (although there are many beaches to cool off along the way - which is perfect for summer) I would come again at any time of year because the views are gorgeous!

So beautiful! Hiked it in November and the weather was gorgeous. Not warm enough for us to swim but there were a few people in the water.

Amazing views. Hidden beaches. Beautiful sea breeze to compliment your hike.

Very nice hike. Do it early morning because the sun starts hitting around 10 am. Wear your swimsuits as you’ll enjoy some refreshing water on the way!

I started from the lady of the rock (pear frame) to the beach of carvoeiro I took roughly 3 hours walking despite the intense heat that made this day the sea breeze and the view of the Algarve coast and nature is a phenomenal thing. I advise you to do this trail !!
