My God .. Killer climb .. about an hour of hell climbing up with the heart-rate at its peak but when you get up top .. WoW, it will be well worth it .. note, numbers are limited so you need to book your spot - highly recommended.

Life changingly beautiful. Very crowded at the top, very steep on the way down (you take a different route from the way up). No a long hike, but truly amazing. Only a certain number of people can go per day, so plan in advance. Go in summer (US summer, June or July) for the best chance of clear weather.

Made the hike in 2007. Very step but an interesting adventure. However, when we got to the top, we could only see clouds and nothing else.

Wonderful hike but very steep. Expect the route to always be fairly busy. Track is extremely narrow so at times you may be 'in line' to continue. However, use those moments as breaks because you'll need them + the views are progressively stunning of the Andes.
Summit is well worth it but not much room so you can't relish in it too much without inconveniencing others.
Can be quite muddy with very small 'rock steps'.
Any moderately fit person is capable.

Not for the faint of heart, but worth every drop of sweat and every scary dropoff once you reach the summit!

Difficult and nerve-wracking at various points of the hike - even at the very top. But as most of the reviews point out, it's a cannot miss...so get those tired legs loosened up from your trek and get after it

Oh so scary once you're almost to the top. It's a very challenging hike. But it's amazing.

Stair, stairs, and more stairs. Great views of Machu Picchu when you get to the top. Be prepared for dazzling drop offs.

The best views of Macchu Picchu are from Huayna Picchu in my opinion. However, this was an extremely challenging hike especially immediately after the Inca trail. Think climbing stairs for about an hour that are very narrow and steep. Worth it for the incredible views

Walking to the top of this mountain, although not easy, it was for me a great experience. Admire the site constructed by the Incas at the top and the sacred stone, it was an amazing moment. It was a rainy day, light rain with some fog, but it was not an impediment to enjoy this fantastic journey.
