Do you like relentless inclines, steep drop offs, mud and rocks? If so, this trail is for you. 10/10 would NOT recommend even if it’s raining a little bit. The trail becomes dangerous with slick mud and floods very quickly. When we started we faced a light drizzle and by the time we came to the cabins it was raining steadily and we were unable to complete the last quarter of the hike because the trail got completely washed out. The trail is not well marked at the very beginning but markers improve as you go along. Be prepared for a tough incline most of the way to the lookout - it really is the trail of a million steps. Three stars because it was a very pretty hike regardless of weather but probably wouldn’t do it again.

Took the boat to the trail end and hiked back. Steep rapid ascent of 2000 feet followed by less steep descent back toward geiranger. Moderate to hard hike with well marked trail. Some great vistas along the way.

Not very difficult. Highly recommend! Absolutely beautiful. Only thing I regret is not going all the way after the huts.. There’s a great view of the Seven Sisters waterfalls
