Nice moderate walk, plenty of mud going through the forest trial but due to a nice dry day the rest was fine

Good walk, don’t try coming down the front face of the mountain unless you’ve a good head for heights.

My family home area the small church below the summit is our family church .. been round the lake many times but it’s never the same on any day .. outstanding views of the Foyle and River Roe! And beyond to Donegall .. love it!

HikingGreat!Muddy

Was tough going for a noob but really enjoyed it and we’ll worth the effort. Better to double back from the summit/lake than follow the route down through mucky and overgrown paths back to forest trail.

Good trail with great views over Lough Foyle and Benone Strand. Dog friendly, no stiles. Very muddy in places especially if you go off the main trail in the forest and as you approach top of Binevenagh there is a boggy section. Do this on a clear day to maximise the views.

It was muddy and no clear paths. However, it was a scenic path and the view at the top was amazing. Don’t forget to bring extra socks and shoes.
