Excellent trail, first sections are well marked, after the lake markers are few and far between but the trail can be identified.

After school climb with our daughter, very good for wee ones to experienced trekking and those love bringing their pets. If youre a pro youll be on top in less than an hour if you starting the climb in picnic area, plenty of space to park.

highly recommend this trail. it took us just under 4 hours to walk the ring, including lots of stops along the way. toilet facilities at the forest park. steep in parts but along good roads and paths. decent from the mountain was slightly boggy. we hiked in July in good weather.

Did this recently with my sister and 11yr old niece. It’s an easy trail to follow and the views from the top are incredible. Highly recommend this, it’s not a particularly difficult trail.

just back from this today started at the forest trail carpark and done the loop . nice path way and good steps steep all the way good workout . when we got to the top it was very windy and open we headed towards the lake and headed down hill the trail was slippy and boggy . out of 7 people 6 had a slip and ended up on our backs . we lost the trail and had to use maps to navigate down to the road that brings us back to carpark . it was very tricky slippy we took shelter in a forest as it rained while we had lunch . the walk along the road back is a very boring 40 minutes. bit overall a great experience.
