Amazing hike to get a nice view of the glacier. 4 suspended bridges and tons of waterfalls. Can get quite slippery. The trail takes a long time because it is mainly slippery rocks, so take care. https://www.doc.govt.nz/parks-and-recreation/places-to-go/west-coast/places/westland-tai-poutini-national-park/things-to-do/tracks/roberts-point-track/

Definitely bring good footwear and be prepared to watch every step. Good views of the glacier if it's clear in the valley, but my partner did Alex Knobb the day before and though it was cloudy at the top, the viewpoints lower down had more complete views of the glacier, albeit farther away.

There are four bridges to cross. And be careful, the rocks are slippery!

HikingGreat!

Really beautiful hike with a great pay off at the end. Myself and my partner are of above average fitness (not athletes or anything) and by keeping a pretty steady pace we were able to do it in 1hr 45min up and 1hr 30min down + stopping for lunch at the top. It is quite technical both going up and down and if you don’t have good grip on your shoes or went when it was wet you could be in trouble. Definitely recommend bringing a hearty lunch and snacks with you as it’s a real calorie burner, personally I feel like I brought too much water (over 2L) and that was heavy and annoying, but I can imagine if it was a hot day you’d probably need it. Oh also I’d recommend bringing a warm layer to wear at the top, it gets cold up there once you’ve stopped moving.

Amazing hike with lots of fun swing bridges along the way. Well signposted but it does involve a lot of rock scrambling on often loose rocks. Would not recommended doing when wet! Took us around 5 hours with snack breaks a long the way and a 30min lunch break at the glacier lookout

Awesome hike! 5 hours it took us at a reasonable pace and a lunch break at the top. Would not want to do when wet. Definitely need hiking boots, although we met a guy walking in crocs!

This track was tough! Beautiful track, fun and very technical, good amount of climbing. Went on a dry, sunny day, bring more water than you think! Can't imagine doing this after rainfall as it was SUPER slippery on a dry day. I'm a reasonably fit day hiker and this is prob the hardest day hike I've done in NZ.

Amazing view! Normally you can’t see anything on raining day but at this view point the entire glacier just in front of you! So close! It’s not friendly for children but my girl made it. For 5-year-old girl, we cost almost 4 hours up and 5 hours back. Very slippery, dozens of waterfalls. But it’s worth.

Great hike! The track is a bit challenging, slippery and intense but very interesting! You will never get bored and it is very dynamic. The view in the end is amazing and so rewarding, it is fabulous! Don’t do it on a rainy day or after rain though
