Easy walk, pretty gorge, water won't be aqua-blue unless weather has been really good the previous days. https://www.doc.govt.nz/parks-and-recreation/places-to-go/west-coast/places/hokitika-gorge-scenic-reserve/things-to-do/tracks/hokitika-gorge-walk/
An easy walk on the loop track. Takes about an hour depending on how long you stop for photos. The first bridge is an old swing bridge and the views are amazing. The colour of the water is breathtaking. The second bridge is longer and newer. Beware of sandflies!! Lots of them. Definitely need the insect repellent. Worth the drive to the gorge.
Great loop track, family friendly and pram friendly. Didn't matter it was wet, the sun would have just made the water more spectacular.
Nice easy 15 minute stroll through Hokitika Gorge. Scenic and good for all ages.
was pouring rain when I went. the normally blue/turquoise water was grey due to that, but it was a neat quick hike with a cool suspension bridge.
