Great bushwalk with many different trail options to summit Mt Vic. The view from the top offers 360 degree panoramic view view of Wellington and the nearby suburbs. On a clear day, you can see the South Island, and to the north, the Tararua range. It’s all well signposted, and suitable for families. Tracks are all well maintained. There’s a also a bathroom and water fountain near the top. Given that it’s close to the city and popular with locals, it can be busy on a nice day. But the views, bush and birds around Mt Vic are still spectacular and well worth it. Keep your eyes out for the Kaka (brown parrot) or some Tui.

Beautiful and well maintained trail. Steep in parts, but not unmanageable for even the least fit!

Lovely bushland loop ideal for trail running. Surprisingly quiet from 5-7pm. Steady incline with only a few flat bits all the way up. Lots of little side trails if you want to challenge yourself with some more steep sections. Great views at the top.

Beautiful woodland section. Makes you feel far from the city. Felt I couldn't totally relax because of the path is shared with mountain bikers.

Be aware many trails are shared with mountainbikers.sone, some are for riders only. Pleasant walks under cover of pine trees, views over harbour, southern walkway is well signposted
