Did window tunnels, old rail tunnel, to other car park, was so cool and pretty, bushy enough o do in the rain. Cool semi loop track, tunnels were sweet could explore around for an hour in them. Definitely need a torch.
We loved this! Such a good mix of natural beauty and historical "ruins". There are many stairs involved and you'll need a torch.
Tranquil scenery and fun tunnels to walk through. Some tunnels branch off the main trail and are pitch black -- headlight recommended though cell phone flashlight may get the job done. Was fun to turn the headlamp down low and navigate in limited light like the miners back in the day :) Instead of the simple out-and-back Alltrails recommends, you can come back on the Crown Tramway to complete the loop
Very easy scenic trail with some interesting historical sites along the way.
Its an easy walk so if you are looking for a real hike this isn’t it but it was beautiful! So many nice views and we really liked it that there is lots to see along the way. Flashlight wasn’t really necessary but it was convenient to have with us. It drips water when you walk through the caves and you have to, there’s no way around it. We didn’t mind but if you don’t like that bring a coat. We were able to keep our shoes dry but without a flashlight that might be tricky :) The staircases are not many and not hard. If you are in the area definitely do this one!
TAKE A TORCH! Really enjoyable walk with lots to see along the way. Great views into the gorge and found it much better than the rail tunnel walk. If you have time, I recommend walking further up the gorge past the window walk. Around 30 mins will take you to another big tunnel and a swimming hole. There is also a full flow of water from a tunnel near the aforementioned tunnel. Then return and complete the Window Loop.
