I visited Cathedral Cove in mid-January as a stop on an adventure tour I was on. Expect to take this hike with several new "friends" -- it was SO crowded (lots of families)! Beautiful ocean views make up for the lackluster path for most of the walk. There's a steep hill before you reach the beach, which only feels troublesome on the return with your sandy feet. The arch-cave is magnificent and even though the beach cove is riddled with people, it somehow retains a secluded feeling. I'm glad I saw this, but mixed on whether I need to return.

Hike is longer than you think, 45 min one way. But the caves are cool. Heavily visited by tourists via hiking, water taxis, and kayaking. Bring water on a hot day.

This is a great trail! Lots of hills but still great. My 3 yr old did alright, it's hard to tell if she was really tired or just wanted her uncle's attention so she kept asking him to carry her. But she did manage almost all of the trail.

Beautiful place with a great reward, the cove is breathtaking!
