HikingGreat!

The trail was highly accessible from the Remarkables carpark. We went early June before ski season and had really enjoyable conditions in the snow without busy crowds.

Trail is full of snow on October 10. Very difficult to climb or orient where to go. I was walking almost 75% and saw river under the snow and decided to turn back, it was dangerous. Sometimes your leg drops till knee deep in random spots.

Lovely hike, I’d say it’s pretty low end of moderate/ high end easy level. It’s shorter than expected and not too tough. A little steady climb at the start below the ski lifts. we went during autumn and it was beautiful. Just be careful of the drive up as it’s steep and windy. Have to pay a small fee if you’re driving up when it’s not ski season.

Worth the drive up there, a stunning day makes a difference. Cold, but warming sun, no wind. 1st half routine up ski field vehicle tracks, second half au natural, needing sure footing at times in a peaceful alpine environment. Lake frozen over, serene and away from the troubles of the planet.

I would agree that this trail is moderate up until the point where you have to scramble over rocks to get to the summit, many of which slip out from beneath you. Though if you have more experience in the mountains, this would probably be moderate for you. Absolutely stunning views from the top and all the way up, reflective lake about halfway up. Overall a beautiful hike well worth your time when you're in QT.

Very enjoyable walk. Not a challenging hike but it still feels like exercise. Views on the drive up, along the way, and especially at the end of the hike are all pretty spectacular. $10 fee to enter but all of the views make that worth the money.

The hike was fun toward the end. Very scenic surroundings and not too boring. There’s is a $10 fee for each car to enter the road and the view going up and down in the car is beautiful.

Hiked during summer... Negatives- There is a small fee at the bottom of the mountain. Half of the trail is a gravel road under construction for the ski resort. Positives - absolutely beautiful views on the drive up and down the mountain with places to pull over for photos. The second half of this walking track is a beautiful rocky trek with streams along the way. The end of this short trek is very rewarding with a beautiful blue lake.

FEE! I did this walk a year ago and it was absolutely gorgeous! I came back to do it and there’s now a barrier before the road up where you have to pay $10. Seems a bit high of a price for a walk I did for free just last year. I chose to go do something else instead.

Nice short hike, 40 mins up and 30 mins down. Go right to the water’s edge to see the mountains reflecting in the lake. And look out for the leaping grasshoppers!

Nice easy climb. The starts just on road which is a bit mundane but when you get up the mountain you get to walk through mossy wetlands and rock scrambles with amazing views.
