Well maintained and very popular track that gives beautiful of Dunedin and central otago. There’s a significant uphill to start, but doable. Bring water and sunscreen!

walked to summit from car park. Early September 2018. Very windy and cool on the exposed tops today but a fun climb to get the heart rate going and nice views. Did not stay long at the top due to cold wind.

Beautiful views & clear pathways. Bonus for me was it’s dog-friendly. Was able to make a full loop back to the car park I started at - took about 5 hours all in all (including snack & endless photo stops!) Had a great day - would definitely recommend :)
