Amazing to do it during summer time, path very well outlined. The final summit is really hard but the rest is pretty much easy

Epic. Just do it. Wait for a sunny day and get ready for those incredible 360 degree views. You might even get lucky and be visited by a Kea at the top!

Moderate. Steeper for the last km from the saddle with simple ‘scramble’ towards the end. Worth it for sunrise.

We walked the Tiki Trail from the bottom of the Pagoda. The Tiki Trail is quite scrabbly while up through the forest with a couple of junctions where you need to have a search for the orange triangles. There is a pinch point between the bike trails and the walking trail whilst in the forest. You have to look for the sprayed arrows on the forest floor to know which trail to take. Once emerged from the forest, past the baby Christmas tree farm, it is pretty self explanatory from there to the summit path. The last 1k or so is very steep and a lot of scrabbly sections with a little hand and feet climbing required but it is definitely worth it as the views from the top are breathe taking. We started at 8.30am and got to the summit around 12pm for a spot of lunch. Coming down took about 2.5 hours and I forgot to turn the record off, hence the longer time. I also missed the first 300m of elevation you the tiki trail and I forgot to press record

Started at bottom of gondola. Tiki trail quite steep at times and then last section from saddle to top steep and rocky at times. But managed all way up and back in 5.5 hours including rest stops. Fantastic views and great sense of achievement!

Great day hike trail with stunning Queenstown view on your way back. Good amount of hikers during weekdays. We encounters wild goat on our way back which is pretty cool. One of my best hike so far last February.

wow what a hike! we started at the very bottom near the entrance of the gondola. it is 8.85k from the bottom to the very top! this walk is tuff. it's 4 hours of nothing but up hill. The last hour is very steep. with a little climbing over rocks. once U get to the top the views r absolutely amazing! like everyone else said 360 degree views. only took a couple hours to descend down the MTN. definitely take sunscreen food and lots of water. u will need it! oh I almost forgot to mention u can cut 2.5k out of the hike going up if U catch the Gondola up the hill.

Hard trail with plenty of wind and incline up top. Taking the gondola up would take the sting out.

Amazing track. I started from the bottom at the tiki trail which I’d only recommend for fit people otherwise take the gondola. Views are so spectacular. Watch your food with the Kea birds as they will try and steal it from your bag.

Fantastic hike and great 360 views. Please don’t feed the kea birds at the top. The last mile is very steep and rocky but worth the effort

Magnifique !

Don't feed the kea birds! it's really bad for them and many hikers were doing it. Challenging hike, I did the tiki trail up (very steep), hiked to the summit, and then hiked back to the top of the gondola. Seven hours with many long breaks. I started from the base of the gondola at 7:30am and brought 3 liters of water - two would have been okay that early in the day. note that there is a water spigot at the top of the gondola, so you can refill at the top of the tiki track.

Epic, include the Tiki trail for a 16k hike which starts at the bottom of the gondola. Highly recommend and you really earn the views from the top.
