Note: Instead of completing the loop, we followed the Queenstown, Frankton, and Kelvin Peninsula trails to the point and then backtracked the same way (approximately 20.7 miles in all).

The trails are shared with pedestrians, but we didn’t encounter much traffic on our midweek ride. All three trails are scenic, but the Kelvin Peninsula trail is particularly stunning, with Alpine gardens on one side and the lake on the other. Be prepared to stop every few minutes to take photos.
