The huts in a cool place to spend a night or more. Never fished but it looked like an area you'd definitely want to try. Hike is pretty tough going sometimes but all good. Beautiful views of the Whangarei harbour and heads area. So many fantails!

Lots of roots popping up and branches to climb over, also had to climb some rocks. I would recommend for someone who has some athletic ability. Got to the sign for peach cove etc, and turned back. Great views, but would not recommend for elderly or young kids.
