The trail is easy to follow and has spectacular views. Stunning walks over bridges and beautiful ice formations. Doable for anyone with reasonable fitness. Only a few inclines / steps but not technically difficult. Carpark is pretty much packed after 900am but there is enough parking for ~200 so your bound to get something anytime throughout the day.

I understand why its so popular, its incredibly easy and the views of the mountains from the valley below is nice, but I expected so much more due to the hype. I was a little disappointed with Mt Cook but that changed once I did Sealy track!!! Constant stairs up but SO worth it. Insane views!

Absolutely beautiful and nice and easy. Quite quiet at the moment which was also nice. I would try to go early as once the sun goes past the mountain you're walking in complete shade.

One of the most amazing trails I’ve ever done! Definitely go early to avoid the crowds. 3 miles one way, with mountain, river, and lake views all the way to the end. It culminates at Hooker Lake, at the foot of Mt. Cook. Unbelievably gorgeous! Highly recommend.

Great hike, best part is the journey itself. The amazing views along the way are breathtaking, nature and scenery are what will give this hike 5 stars. Very long walk, so pack a lunch. November- December was a great time to go.

I left early in the morning and went through big fog and clouds. At the lake I sat down by the icebergs for a while and suddenly the clouds started lifting revealing an absolutely mystical and magical mount cook. I must have stayed there for 2h and walked back in sunshine. On the way out I had no idea about the range of mountains and its beauty but it turned into a glorious day and I feel blessed to have witnessed it. There is not much traffic now due to corona. However early morning seems to be the best. The track is easy but not accessible for everyone because there are stairs and rocks. Better plan 4h and take time to admire Mt cook

Very beautiful hike in the valley to the lake and view of Mt Cook. We started at 8.30am (March) and it was pretty quiet with only a dozen of people at the viewpoint (10am) but there were a LOT of people on our way back, including people with strollers and big groups. Would recommend going early and wear layers as you'll be in the shade in the morning until the sun turns around. A few bridges to cross, nice "beach" by the lake to take pictures of icebergs. We had our picnic at the top of the Alpine Memorial on the way back, perfect view and nobody there, better than the crowded parking :) A must-do if you are in Mt Cook!

Beautiful hike with a lot of view point and three crossing bridges, but pick the time you want to do it because this trail is over crowded because it’s mainly flat and no difficulties. Early in the morning or late afternoon are better.

We did this hike today with high winds and potential for rain. A storm was blowing in and clouds hugged Mt Cook but held off just enough for us only to get rain at the end on our way back. The high winds made it difficult (but fun) and crossing the suspension bridges an adventure. Loved the extra thrill. The weather did limit our views but probably decreased the numbers on the trail. I recommend it because of the multiple views that were beautiful and it was very easy. Simple out and back, even with the wind and lots of pictures, we did it in about 2.5 hours. (The wind today was huge! Becareful if your not stable on your feet on uneven surfaces.)

Great trial very easy, earlier the better as car park and road leading to the car park get really full, we arrived before 9 and got a space just about, walk wasn’t busy but on way back it was very busy only takes 2 and a bit hours there and back.

Terrific, stunning views. Heavy traffic in trail and parking lot filled up by 11. Still well worth it. Flat trail but long. Budget 3-4 hrs. No sun cover, can get windy.

Don’t take the Ball Bass Route in the middle of the track. It’s a dead end bush that’s not in use anymore.

Very easy trail, but great views and definitely worth it if you are in the area. Loved the suspension bridges. Rooms us 2 hours total, and we took a break at the lake at the end. Views at the end not that great, but we loved the views of the mountains throughout the rest of the trail. Tons of people on the track given how easy it is, but we left around 3:30 pm in the afternoon and we had parts of the trek to ourselves. Wouldn’t recommend leaving between 9am - 1pm during high season as it seems it could be overrun.
