Hike up and over the Port Hills with amazing views of Lyttelton Harbour & Christchurch City. You can either start in Heathcote from the Christchurch Gondola carpark on Bridle Path Road or head through the tunnel and start from the Lyttelton side on Bridle Path (not "Road").

Steep but really good it seems like longer but it’s not to longs just a lot of uphill walking

Awesome view of the city although a bit steep. I recommend starting by the Gondola since it’s easier than starting on the other side.

The bridle path trail is well groomed and plenty wide for multiple users at a time. At the top there are 360 views of Christchurch and Lyttelton. Pretty steep incline in a relatively short distance. Took us 25 min to reach the top and we were hoofing it!! Would do this trail again.
