Te Ara Kaihikatea - Te Puke is a 1.8 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Te Puke, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, running, and mountain biking. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Hiking

The path is under construction partway through so you have to do a detour through town. The path itself is unremarkable, and at times it's very smelly since it winds around a water treatment plant. No views except right at the start (that is if you enjoy cemeteries).

Lovely little walk that I took my dog on seeing as it is also a dog friendly walk, it’s always a nice scenery to be walking through along the local Wairi river
