Pakihi Hut via Motu Road is a 12.1 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Opotiki, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand that features a great forest setting and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.

Note: This is a one-way mountain biking track and two way hiking/trail running track. Mountain bikers are ONLY allowed Motu Road to Pakihi Road end. The Pakihi Track to Pakihi Hut. On your way to the hut, you will cross 12 wooden bridges, dense forest, and catch views of distant ridges. The Pakihi hut is a standard six-bunk bed hut with heating and mattress with a first-come first-serve policy. Check the Department of Conservation website for more information.
