Great walk! Beautiful falls, lots of fun crossing back and forth across the creek, water was about knee high at worst (without falling over). Definitely recommend!

One of the best trails in Auckland. Done the loop, and it was all worth it. Lots of river crossing which made the trail a bit difficult (very slippery). Lastly, Mokoroa falls is stunning.

Nice walk, clean track with a good shade of trees. Make sure you are wearing good hiking boots as it's a lot of mud and uneven surface when you cross the stream plenty of times. The track involved some small rock climbing as well. Very beautiful places, especially among the stream.

great walk with multiple distance options

great walk around west Auckland..good workout as the stairs can test your firness ability. good spot for a quick dip at the mokoroa falls.

Great walk- best to prepare to get wet! Lots of river crossings and some cool waterfalls to jump off!! Stairs at both ends will test your cardio!! Hi

this is a great workout, the stairs can be pretty tiering, the waterfall is beautiful, but not really swimmerble. the scenery was mostlythe same, that's why I'm rating it a 3 I have been on better hikes. still enjoyable and worth doing I like that there's decent amount of shade during the hike.

Unreal... river was low so followed it for ages. Awesome falls & pools

excellent, muddy but you will be in the stream most of the way anyway, so there is time tip wash your shoes;) Take shoes that can handle being under water and provide good grip on slippery wet rocks.

One of the most amazing walks I’ve been on, with many beautiful spots and some crazy adventures. Many parts though when we had to walk along/cross the river were particularly challenging after the light rain - particularly with my 5yo.

Great track! Definitely recommend. Limited carpark so be prepared to park down the road on roadside. If your lucky you’ll get to see eels in the water. Bottom of stairs where the falls are you are able to have a cute little sit down to enjoy a break, take in the views and those selfies.

I regularly do this one from the Bethells side to the falls and back via the stream. A relatively easy walk that can be done in a morning leaving the afternon to do many other nearby activities. There are many stream crossings and at times it can be above the knees, though it is slow moving. A few deep pools allow a cool off dip too. As at 12/18 this track is open.

Did the loop, quiet a bit more in and out of the stream then we realised but super fun!

We did a loop, starting from Goldie Bush Walkway, dropping us down into the stream where we crossed the stream via a suspension bridge. The trail then countoured up through kauri and fern forest. It then connected to the Mokoroa Falls Track. Then it goes downstream until it reaches a cliff lookout into the falls. We took the stairs down into the bottom of the falls. On the return, we followed Mokoroa Stream Route , crossing it several times, at times waist deep, and quite muddied at the entry and exit points along the stream. There is also a jumping spot into a large deep pool. Overall, a wonderful experience especially at the stream section with many swimming holes and cascade falls.

Be sure to take some good waterproof shoes! Worth the walk though :) Find some more info here: https://bluemoontravelers.com/2018/03/10/mokoroa-falls/

Quite a challenging track for me especially coming back to the car park. There were so many stair cases that I had to take a break since my legs are not that resilient. Otherwise enjoyed this track, I did enjoy the challenge too! I love the hanging bridge just after the car park and the walk to the waterfall is pretty easy. Although be aware to get to the waterfall you will need waterproof shoes if you don't want to get your shoes wet since I end up with soaked soggy socks, despite that the waterfall is so beautiful and also quite muddy as it comes with water areas.

Love this track! I suggest looping it to the right and then expect to cross the stream multiple times on the way back but you'll be going down steam that way. We did it in winter and it was still incredible! Greeted with multiple waterfalls!

Nice, but quite a small waterfall. The stream trail was very very very slippery, didn't really enjoy it. Better just stick to the main trail (25min 1 way) and enjoy the waterfall.
