Easy trail through an old forest with a visit to the small village of 'Lage Vuursche'. Just before the village you also pass by the royal residence which is heavily guarded.

Nice and easy walk through the forests of Lage Vuursche, passing some 3000-year-old barrows along the way. You hit the little village of Lage Vuursche at the half-way point (good stop for a drink or bite) and end up close to a nice cafe. We combined it with camping closeby at "paalkampeerplaats" Kaapweg, a free little camping site in the woods (no facilities at all, meaning that only nature-enthusiasts use it).

Easy route over wide paths. The route runs past Drakensteyn Castle, after which it takes you to the village of Lage Vuursche before there is another route sign.
