Annapurna 5-day trek to Poon Hill. Day 5: 13.2km, 1000m down. The final day from Ghandruk to Nayapul is 13.2km, starting with a descent of 900m in the first 7.7km, over stairs and nice trail. After this the hike continues on a rather uneventful dirt-road (wide enough for cars) parallel with the river. Stop over for lunch in Birethani, and relax a bit, for the final 2km back to the main road at Nayapul. In total the day will be about 6 hours, including stops. Alternatively you can go East, down & up across the river to Landruk, and take a more difficult trail South-West to Birethani. This trail has more ups & downs when it follows the more deeply carved East mountain side.
