Vistas muy bonitas. Pero como muchos senderos, en ocasiones confusos a seguirse sin separarse. Y estaría padre tener una placa para conocer un poco más de las ruinas. Pero es un paseo disfrutable.

To add to what Ascanio said about finding the trailhead, google tries to take on what is now a private road, marked PRIVADA. When I went, the gate was closed so you couldn't pass and as he said I had to continue slightly to the right. Also, on the other side of the sign for 50 pesos was another PRIVADA sign but had an X made of some kind of plant on it so ignore that one and keep going. There was a spot where the red line in AllTrails was not correct and I had to cross some water and briefly go on the road, marked by dashes in the app. There was actually a working porto-potty that way and it feeds back into the Alltrails red line pretty quickly. Waterfall was not running October 2020 but still a wonderful hike with varied terrain.

Es un sendero muy fácil tiene aguas termales, solo que cuando no es temporada de lluvia esta un poco seco.

Note: Google maps does not have the right pin for the location. It will try to lead you up a fenced Road to the left. Instead of going there just take a right turn and follow the dirt road all the way to the end. You’ll get to another gate where you’ll have to pay 50 peso entrance fee. Absolutely phenomenal trail that wanders through a pristine canyon littered with hot Springs. Once you get past the 1st mile or so of filthy road the hike follows a single track trail through a canyon that crosses the stream in a few spots. There a few areas where you might want to jump in and soak up the natural healing waters. Beware there’s a bit of poison oak on the eastern side of the canyon 3/4 of the way to the end. Enjoy!!! As for me I’m a full-time adventure traveler. Most of my time is spent traveling the world mountain biking extreme trails, rock climbing remote peaks and hiking classic trails.

First to Review

We had some trouble finding the trail head but eventually figured it out. You’ve got to pay a old man 50 pesos per person to park your car. It’s a rough road to get there. There isn’t much of a trail but using the map we figured out where to go. The hot spring was a nice temp but I didn’t get in. It’s easy to find when you are close because a lone palm tree is right next to the spring. The “ruins” are an old building that is fading away. It’s easy to see from a distance but you can come close and check it out if you like. All and all, this wasn’t my favorite hot spring experience but it was a fun hike family. I wouldn’t call the hike “easy” due to the lack of trails at points.
